Project Director

Chris Macfarlane, ASLA, RLA

Chris Macfarlane directs the progress of all current projects, assigning staff, overseeing contract compliance, and analyzing budgets. With over thirty years of experience, Chris provides guidance to Project Managers and Designers as they learn the process of design and documentation necessary for a successful project. His past experience with office and fieldwork for projects with construction budgets greater than 100 million dollars has given Chris the knowledge and experience to comfortably collaborate with large teams, including artists, architects, engineers, and a broad range of clients.

In addition to daily mentoring of staff, Chris has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut, Design Critic at Rhode Island School of Design, Harvard University, and Temple University. He also lends expertise to his Town as a member of the Conservation Commission and Education Foundation. Chris earned a Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management at Rutgers University.
