This LEED Certified design for a new ‘urban hub’ builds on a detailed urban analysis of circulation patterns, open spaces, and ecological corridors. Positioned adjacent to the Stamford train station, Interstate 95 and the Rippowam River, the Gateway site will become a new focal point for the adjacent business and residential communities. Integral pedestrian and vehicular connections are made to the train station, proposed office towers and residences, and the surrounding community while a strong recreational connection is made to the river's edge and a proposed river walk. Adjacent riparian plant communities will migrate up to and over the parking structure and establish a bold connection between the Rippowam River and the proposed development.
