This new urban space weaves together the infrastructure of water collection and renovation with simple reflecting pools and robust, parterre plantings. Conceived as the centerpiece of the recently minted NOMA Arts District Master Plan, the park is situated along First Street NE, between Pierce Street NE and M Street NE. Landworks Studio designed a series of brick and stone pathways, which slice through a sculptural park center, making dynamic connections between the street edge and important retail spaces within the proposed adjacent development, providing simple and elegant places to sit.
